Leeds Rhinos have agreed to release prop Richard Moore, 31, from the remaining year of his contract to enable him to sign for another club for next season. Moore re-joined the Rhinos in 2012 from Welsh side Crusaders, having originally been part of the club's Academy system alongside the likes of Rob Burrow, Ryan Bailey and Danny McGuire. He made 32 appearances for Leeds in the last two seasons, scoring one try. Commenting on the announcement Head Coach Brian McDermott said, "Richard leaves the Rhinos with the best wishes of everyone at the club. He has been a great servant to Leeds over the last two seasons, always prepared to help out the team wherever possible and having made 16 appearances in both seasons it shows the contribution he has made. His attitude has been first class, including spending time at Hunslet this season on dual registration where he was also a popular figure. We appreciate his desire to secure more gametime and wish him well for the future.” Moore, who has previously played at London, Bradford, Leigh and Wakefield, added, "It was always an ambition of mine to play for the Rhinos first team having started my career at Headingley Carnegie and I am pleased to have done that. It has been a great experience for me and I am looking forward to the next chapter in my career next season.”
I spoke to Richard Moore last week and he said he was still undecided about what he wants to do. He also indicated that The Cougars had made him a very reasonable offer.

Maybe the club could organise a very quick auction of the right to sponsor Richard Moore IF he is signed. Highest bidder wins. Half the money could be added to Richard's contract offer?
