Played with Chris Macangus from work (you remember him?)
Elevated green meant that i never had the pleasure of watching it roll in.
I struck a cracking PW slightly right of the pin. When i got up there i could not find the ball and thought i had put it long.
Chris says
"Its in the hole" whilst looking in the pot.
I say
"don't be a door handle"
He says
It is in the "flipping" hole
I say
"Chris, don't be %^$&"
He says
"have a "flipping" look yourself"
I wander over slowly and there it is staring back up at me. I kid you not that the Smiley face it had been marked with by its previous owner (Srixon Lake ball) was grinning right at me
Well the the rest is a blur...
I am still slightly winded in the stomach from shouting that loud.
My brother used to run on the green at Dean Wood and pick up the ball off the green, pop it in the whole and then nip back in the trees to see the reactions.
Bit naughty, but he was only about 10 at the time. No one got hurt, made a few golfers happy and the bar did well out of it. Surprised no-one thought it odd the spate of holes in one

The whole of what ?
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery.......
I will look to the moment, and miraculously, the future will take care of itself.

Ok, before anyone grumbles I know this is 99% OT, but as it has a slim 1% Warriors connection (and we'll try anything) I'm hoping the purists will give us a break on this one (and keep it on the main thread for a day ot 2 please)
Reason To Lie who performed on the last Wigan Warriors Showcase Stage before the Bradford game (thanks btw for the generous response from some of you in the South stand bar after the game) are looking for a bass player to complete the line up.
Some of you may have seen or heard of The Atomic Hound Dog...well 3 out of the 4 members were the in that band.
Original band with a great set of own songs. Acoustic, indie, melodic...I don't know...just good tunes and a fun band. At the moment playing either as a 3 piece or 4 piece doing acoustic gigs, but looking to do both full band and acoustic based gigs.
Looking for some preferably somewhere between 20-45 to play (mainly local) gigs, add your own parts to songs, do recording.
Reasonable ability obviously important, but its more about gelling and having fun with each other.
If you are interested in coming down for a no strings jam and chat (or you know someone who might be) please PM me.

Anyone know if the tip next to Morrisons is still open?
Cant find any info on the Councils new website.
EDIT - ignore me
I presumed that Kirkless Tip was the one up near the "kirless pub" in New Springs, not the one in ince.
Sorted now
What's the rumpus, Tom?
