The club are sad to announce this morning that Jamie Shepherd has been released from his contract and has joined amatuer outfit Siddal, who the Cougars defeated in the Third Round of this seasons Tetley’s Challenge Cup.
Jamie has struggled to hold down a regular place in the first team here at Cougar Park due to work commitments preventing him from attending training sessions on a regular basis.
Paul March had this to say on Jamie’s departure: “Jamie has played a few times this season but got a new job and with working away has had to miss training. We’ve come to an agreement for him to be released but I want these lads to be playing football, and if it’s not with me then it’s somewhere else.”
The club would like to thank Jamie for his services and wish him all the best for his future endeavors.
