If you haven't seen it watch out for early roles for such (now) Hollywood luminaries as Tom Hardy, Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy.
Do not forget Simon Pegg

Ambrose is one of the worst authors I've ever read. I think it is testimony to the skills of Spielberg & Hanks that they could actually see such a great series in reading the book

Very true, was a great series and one I have watched many times. Still managed to get a couple of digs in though about the British didn't they? Hollywood just can't help itself can it? I wish someone would do one from the commonwealth side of things or even a Russian one. Although, there is a new Stalingrad movie due to be released from a Russian movie company

In Oliver Stone's upcoming series "The Untold History of The United States", he reckons it's the Soviets we sould be thankful to for winning the war. Without their sacrifices, it's a good bet that Europe would've seen the first atom bomb

Quite enjoying this series , Originally I thought this would be hard slog to watch but it has been quite fascinating and insightful.
