These 'terrorists' were right next to an army barracks, in a car, and the best they can come up with is a sharp blade?

They ran the man down in their car then slashed him to death with cleavers while also brandishing a gun (according to eye witnesses, of which there were many), one of them shouting out a political message, apparently also praising Allah, and this attack took place near to the Woolwich barracks and was upon a young man wearing a Help the Heroes t-shirt.

Clearly they were not rubbish. COBRA has met, security around barracks is being tightened, lots of witnesses were terrified and it's all in the news. Job done so far as I can see. The only difference between this and a bomb is in the numbers dead.

I have to say the whole thing seems very odd to me.

The woman sitting near to the body, the casualness of the attackers, them hanging around for twenty minutes for the police to arrive. hard to get yoyr head around this one,

The term 'Islamist' was coined to describe the terrorist element who use Islam as their reason for their murdering ways. The religion of Islam is followed by Muslims (or Moslims, depending upon your linguistic inclination).

Islamist [ˈɪzləmɪst]
adj
(Non-Christian Religions / Islam) supporting or advocating Islamic fundamentalism

...which is why the word TERRORIST is so important, you can label yourself "Islamist" without wanting to commit acts of terrorism, semantics are so important in context and for the sake of public order.

Someone needs to deal with these issues. The establishment won't. The liberati won't.

I wonder what land he was referring to, as his accent was pure London?

They'd have been off their heads on drugs, I'd guess. Was it terrorism or is that just a spin to prevent panic?

As i said years ago - the war on "terror" is a real war. It is a war that needs to be waged Islamic expansion. Failure to deal with this will cause the demise of our way of life. It will only be dealt with by a full scale war that geographically pushes back the Islamic sphere of influence. The big problem is that Europe and the US have allowed too much immigration and so there is an element of the "enemy within." We'll have generations of strike methinks.

I'm amazed at how surprised and shocked people are on here. This has been predicted since the 70's. get used to it, its going to get worse.
