Solid enough performance from us today. Always in control of the game and probably should have put Ashton away today. Their lads ran hard all day, conditions unfavourable for both sides so nice to get a clean sheet and jump above Ashtoj in the league!
Quite an even game I thought, with both sides having tries disallowed. Tigers used their big lads well & were deserved winners. The small pitch & the refs interpretation of 10m prevented any hopes of open play though. A frustrating day for us but onwards & upwards.

No, coach.
As an aside, I heard off one of 4 of my lads who played for our 1sts yesterday & apparently their game was held up for 40 minutes for one of Haresfinches lads who had a neck injury. Hope it's not serious & he's fit & well soon enough.

We laboured to a 36-22 win yesterday over New Springs who must have improved since their 72-0 loss to Orrell. NS will certainly win some more games this season.

We're due to play Hindley on a weekend when they haven't a 1st team game. Having beaten certain sides last year easily only to play them again on the day their 1st team didn't play, and we then lost, we'll be interested in what's going on...should they simply drop out?

NCL website has Hindley down as being away at Crosfields. Not sure what's happening at Hindley but any club that's got enough players to run two teams would be daft not to use them to fulfill fixtures.
