I'd agree but there is I assume a decent salary expectation difference, would think other decent wingers would be available in the winter and possibly even a few unheard of players come into the reckoning after a good World Cup and it may be both are gone come 2014.

I think once George dropped out of the side he was always unlikely to get back in barring injury and the fact he can switch to centre at a push but really offers nothing more than being a pacy winger would always be a negative.

I thought Dawson was one of our better players against Warrington the other week, made excellent yards forward and looked for work. He did make one major mistake of turning his back to his opposite number and letting him through, but that might be over-critical and I'd imagine he is only going to get better.

Murphy has shown his outstanding defence, both under the high ball and in decision making week after week, so I can see him becoming first choice for us for the remainder of the season and potentially into next year. He also has the versatility of playing full-back.

With that in mind I can't really see a place for Luke George unfortunately, which is a shame because he did have an excellent first season for us and I do personally like him as a player. Maybe he will stay on a lower wage and try to break back into the squad, or he might leave for the same or a better salary at a club looking to break in to the top eight. The loan spell at Hull KR could wind up being permanent maybe?

Jamie Cording seems to be getting better with every game he plays, solid in defence and runs decent lines; one that I would like to keep along with Ferguson who has got back to his best now he is playing in the back-row again.

These aren't full blown conclusions or based on any rumours, purely my thoughts on paper.

Agree about Cording , i think he is the most improved out of the youngsters this year and is certainly making it hard for Baloo to leave him out, i love some of the lines he runs in attack and if the ball just stuck more he would have loads more tries - i would definitely give him at least another year and see if his improvement continues.

I suppose any out of contract players you don't sign will be signing for us that seems to be what happens now
