So it’s all over, bar the bits & bobs on the T.V.
I remember the Tories getting into power in ’79, coupled with that a couple of days later I witnessed my team’s only appearance in a major final while I’ve supported them.
I also worked in the mining industry & witnessed its decimation.
For so many years I’ve told anyone who’d listen that I would be partying when she finally popped her clogs (which I did), however, the whole episode has left me surprisingly empty.
Ultimately, she was some senile old woman who had her final stroke, but her philosophy of “greed is good” is now etched into society.
So I was relived at her passing, I just wish it had been thirty years earlier.
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs, the people that came in. They're eating the cats! They're eating the pets!

Yes, I find celebrating anyone's death ultimately unfulfilling.

She was the best thing to ever happen to this country in my lifetime so far.. She made the decisons that had to be made to modernise this country from the embarrassment it had become thanks to the unions and previous governments. If she hadn't won we would have idiots like Foot and Kinnock in No 10 and we really would have been fooked.
