Don't see how, seen as Gannicus was defeated and presumed killed in battle by Pompei and Crassus. On the other hand the body of Spartacus was never found or identified and therefore he could survive and walk away after the defeat.

The makers of the show could defend that ending due to the lack of evidence that he actually did die.

You have entertained us and inspired us for four years. Great stories and characters and some of the finest breasts ever seen on mainstream TV.

Shame it's ended but three series was just about enough . I thought Liam MacIntyre did a fantastic job in standing in to Andy Whitfield's sandals in the end .

Lovely stuff - a fitting finale to a guilty pleasure.

Hopefully Starz will go ahead with a Caesar spin off that's been rumored .

Liked the show, in a way it ended the only way it could. There was no way they could take on Rome and win.
