Anyone from Workington want to post a picture of the offending puddle or puddles, just to ease any worries on here about the match commissioner being a little hasty in his decision.

You seem to be suggesting that Town have had the game called off on purpose in order to gain an advantage. You do understand that the club can't call a game off, only a RFL official can do that ?

As for player availability, it may surprise you that Town's players all work too !

Sorry for all you Cougar fans who will be as disappointed as us Town fans at this diabolical decision made by the Match Commissioner. The rain through night here hasn't been all that heavy to start with and it stopped raining here at 10am. The forecast for this afternoon is for it to be drier and brighter, which it has been now for the past hour and a half. It looks that the game will now be played probably Tuesday evening so Let's hope there is no rain between now and then!!!!!!!!!

I did say "Match Commissioner called the game off". It now sounds like a really bad decision by him especially if Town wanted to play,I also noticed the forecast it didn't look too bad for the rest of the day, really is a strange one.

As we have a Challenge Cup match next Sunday against our arch rivals Whitehaven, I can assure you the last thing we wanted was a game against Keighley on Tuesday evening before it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wendy n Kev got as far as Tebay.....we made Kirby Lonsdale..
Really cant believe the game was off... Surely Worky if they had been forking the field for two hours must have known it was in doubt . Some announcement to this effect earlier in the morning would have meant folk delayed their start times and prevented some pointless miles travel

The only reason it could be called of is because of players safety. Or have i got that wrong?

I got as fair as Skipton by-pass when I got the call. The team bus was just in front of me. So we were all lucky not to be half way up what a call the nanny goat track up to Ingleton.
