I can't make the game today but will be listening in

So what do we all think? Looking at the league table it would seem anything can happen from 6 down to 14, talk about tight!

Well, I'm going for

Workington 26 Keighley 32
Mom Leatherbarrow
Att 534

Keep the dream alive lads Coouuuggggaaaaarrrrssssss

Theres only one way to decide - FIGHT!

We regret to inform all supporters that today's game against Keighley has been postponed.

Beacuse the pitch is so dry and compact after having no rain on it for the last few weeks, there is currently standing water and with 4 more hours of rain due, the match commissioner has inspected the pitch and deemed it unfit for play.

Club officials have forked the pitch for over 2 hours this morning, but with Keighley travelling such a distance, the match commissioner didn't want to take the risk and have to call the game off at a later stage.

You have standing water, and yet the game called off as pitch is dry.
What a shambles.
Not happy that I have used 9 hours of precious annual leave for this.
Can't you ask your nice neighbours at Whitehaven if you can borrow there pitch for the day.

What a joke.

We wouldn't want the players' boots getting wet or their shirts getting muddy would we?

Any one would think we were playing Cricket.

This is a joke surely??? They supposedly sorted the pitch & drainage out during the close season!

Brad Fitler "If the ref's decision decides your game. You haven't done enough prior."

Referees are like women, they make snap decisions and never reverse them.

Littlerich wrote Widnes will be glad to get away from Leigh. They've been regularly pumped, roasted and left in the alley-way by the lobbygobblers. Talk about being bitched - what a torrid time they've had. They'll be looking for some A&E rest time for the next three years at least.

Was supposed to have been. Just to be clear though, it's the Match Commissioner who has called the game off after Town said they were happy to play.

That was close, just filled the car full of petrol was about to set off, just checked twitter and its off, wonder how many more are on there way who don't have a clue, nice one Workington(sorry match commissioner) "A puddle", look forward to the rearranged midweek fixture, no wait cant make it I work, so do most of our squad, how many of them will be unavailable for selection I wonder.
Anyone from Workington want to post a picture of the offending puddle or puddles, just to ease any worries on here about the match commissioner being a little hasty in his decision.

Bloody hell didn't think game would be in doubt so we set off and was on m6.

Cheers Harry for messaging me.... We even saw cougars team bus on passing through Keighley so club must thought no risk.

Soon be Monday.

New game for Sunday,"Which cougars fans got the furthest before hearing the Game was Off",I only got as far as Asda Petrol Station,so that's me out. Looks like HalifaxCougar is winning so far with the M6, didn't say how far up the M6 though, any advances on the M6.

Surely not a mid-week evening rearranged game now?
