"yes the kick off is 3pm. I discussed it with Barrow and it was their preferred time to allow their fans to get to Cougar Park and also not have a late trip back. Barrow tend to bring quite a lot of paying support with them so it's economically viable for us to have it at that time.
Very, very poor decision by the Chairman IMHO.
I can see there being many disgruntled Cougar fans, and rightly so.
Since when did we ever want to give the opposition and advantage in such a vital match for us?
I have only been wrong once and thats because I thought I was wrong but I was wrong I was right!

I can't work at the moment due to a past injury so not sure which way it goes now with Good Friday, but, have presumed more worked and took Tuesday off instead. I suppose we will not know the true answer till a week on Friday and then as usual it will be too late.

I have booked it off, although I do normally finish on a Friday between 12.30 and 1.30,it has been know for me to get stuck in the office late,I didn't want to take the chance. You will find there are many Cougar fans who will miss Good Fridays game because they cant get the time off work, this area traditionally has always worked good Friday and many still do,but that's okay because at least the Barrow fans wont miss it.

I work in manufacturing and 60% to 70% of our suppliers and customer work Good Friday, its a must for us to keep open on these days, this is no old tradition this is a MUST for us.

Nowhere seems to have the old Keighley Feast week off anymore, they knocked that on the head when I was in Middle School.
As it happens I can make Friday and will be going. However, I used to work in manufacturing and we had Monday and Tuesday as the Easter break. Many of our customers and suppliers also worked good Friday. If we wanted Friday off we had to use "floating holidays" but only so many were allowed from any one department.
What irks a little is that we have done this to please Barrow (nothing against them). I can't remember other clubs going out of their way to please the opposition. We should be doing whatever gives us the advantage.
If it works I'll be the first to say well done for doing something different. We'll have to wait and see.

I work in manufacturing also. Apart from a few souls making urgently required product who'll be paid at a premium, I believe our factory is closed. To be fair it's largely irrelevant for me as I work my hours over 4 days and hardly ever work Fridays.
