Agreed.
They must hate the way that 38 degrees can monitor their actions and mobilise reaction.

You know there's a shitstorm of some proportion on the horizon when in-government politicians start to blame their predecessors, stage two will be to distance Nicholson from any of this and use Staffs as a reason for more privatisation - they've been embarassed by their covert action to press on with privatisation, now they have to start the smoke, mirrors and blame approach.

Apologise for building new hospitals and training and employing more doctors and nurses than had happened since the post-war expansion?

NO!

Cameron is backing Nicolson for one simple reason: he's entirely comfortable with having another heartless, clueless 2@ as his standard bearer. He will be equally keen to hang him out to dry in a couple of weeks

Yes, Meryvn King (wholly independent of government of course) is saying we ought to follow the Scandinavian model and get RBS back into private hands asap. What's the betting Osborne follows his advice and extends it?

I have this vision of Cameron, Hunt and Co sat in a room working tirelessly on the spin they will come up with to blame the Labour party for the end of the world. Anything but spending their energies on the job of government.

People are tiring of it. Just look at the comments at the end of the article you linked to. They don't want blame, they want good government and when the reaction to any problem is 9 times out of 10 "It wasn't me gov!" I really do think people are wondering just what is the point of a government which has this reaction rather than one that just gets on and sorts it out.

The party faithfull swallow it though, and then regurgitate it at any opportunity.

Truth is, they put their hand up for the job, the recession had hit two years previously, the banking crisis three years, despite pretending otherwise they knew exactly what the problems were before they stood for election in 2010 and they convinced enough people that they had a plan to fix the problems.

Seems they were wrong, there isn't a plan, never was a plan, there is political dogma and a couple of puppets having their strings pulled by the party elite and some very wealthy backers.

I long for the days of Wilson and Heath again, you knew exactly what they stood for and what you'd get and in the main they were up front and honest in their politic-ing.
