Much has been spoken on this forum regarding our current situation. We have gone from finishing the last Championship season as the second best defensive team. This makes our present shambolic performances so hard to take. There is no point in critising Paul March, everyone can see how our performances have deteriated, his direct responsibility.
The time has come for the board to either (A) Bury thier heads in the sand, ignore relegation and continue to back PM untill its too late... Paying loosing pay has its benefits!! Mr Fawcett's ridiculous comments in the Keighley News has made all the board look ridiculous. Or (b) Show fans and potential sponsors you do have ambition and start the process immediately by advertising for a player coach and get a leader on the field... Paying five loosing pays has already saved you £10,000 from your budget to help fund this. By acting now we can have the new coach in post before we play four key games against winnable opposition.
It's never easy replacing a coach it takes some bottle but when the future of our club is at stake it has to be done. Failure to sort this out quickly we WILL be relegated and we will hold you totally responsible...You will be pleasantly surprised by the potential candidates that will jump at the chance to coach the Cougars, so don't delay sort this shambles out NOW!!!
The players need the support of supporters now more than ever. There's no point knocking the board; I'm sure if a group of people put themselves forward as a potential new board and demonstrated that they had the wherewithall to take the Cougars forward in a materially better way, the present board would feel under pressure to step down. Until then, Keighley needs to stick together.
I agree we must support the players, as always, but this can only go so far. Many comments have been raised on this forum and I don't see any response from the Directors......namely Mr Fawcett.
I attend all match's and Mr. Fawcett never seems to interact with supporters.
We are in a very serious situation. Is it time to call for a supporters meeting, so the 'board' can inform us what the heck is going on ? or am I just a supporter who should keep his nose out. Well not for long Mr Fawcett.
I look forward to response !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Paul March has lost almost half of last seasons starting 17. Even a top team would struggle to cope with such a large turnover of talent.
I couldn't agree more losing the likes of JD, Obst & Korkidas was always going to leave a big void this season was always going to be a tough order for you. Lets hope Korkidas' butchers shop gets shut down in another horse meat scandal & he comes out of retirement & back to Cougar Park Chins up guys you did play some decent rugby in the first half good luck for the season & I hope to see you at the LSV
Can I be 'devil's disciple' here and put another point? I would suggest the call for Marchie's sacking is useless as he is a proven coach whose record speaks for itself. Looking back who can remember criticisms about Phil Larder when we got a tonking up at Whitehaven, the team was bood off the pitch and he eventually left in the wake of relative failure? Jason Demetriou's ability was questioned when we lost at London Skolars and South Wales. We were within 40 minutes of a disastrous season in the 2011 play-offs but came back in the second half against Rochdale. Some people look back to the 'golden days' of 2012 season but many others considered it a failure that the 'Manchester City' of the Championship could not mix it with the Featherstone's and Halifax's. Looking back at yesterday's game, for twenty minutes we had Leigh rocking and I would suggest that it was only when Buster Feather went off that Leigh began to run through our defence; have a look at the stats. Marchie's recruits such as Paul White and Sean Hesketh to name two, have been in my opinion the stand-out successes this term and it is only some of the long-standing players who have still to step up to the mark. I am sure that the gloom on the terraces transmits to the players and we may be partly responsible for some of the results. Marchie's dismissal can only destabilize the club when we need it the least. Lets get behind Marchie and our team and give them all the support we can – in any way we can.
