Alexander is injured so the fight if it happens will be delayed by 6-8 weeks.
More interesting though, or should I say surprising is that Mayweather has tweeted that his next opponent will be Alexander on 4th May in Vegas! I'd be seriously pi55ed off if I were Brook.

If the Mayweather vs Alexander fight does go ahead the IBF will strip Alexander of the belt and Brook will fight for the vacant title after which he'll can either choose and mandatory or go for a unification fight against Malignaggi or Bradley. Alternatively he could go for Khan but I can't see Khan or Golden Boy taking that fight.
I hope Brook still gets his shot, he's been waiting a long time. Jan Zavek is currently ranked 3 with the IBF and top 10 by most of the other organisations so a fight between him and Brook would make the most sense.
I'm still baffled by Mayweather's decsison to fight Alexander though. A Bradley would've made more sense to me.

Golden Boy have said they can't put Brook vs Alexander on the Garcia vs Judah undercard in Brooklyn so there's a chance it could be on the Froch vs Kessler undercard at the O2 in May.
There's other possibilities like the Mayweather undercard in Las Vegas on the 4th as well.
What ever happens I think Brook will win the IBF World Welterweight title soon...

I honestly dont really rate Brook that much, a good solid fighter, strong in every dept but not exceptional in any. I have no doubt he can win a world title but he's not someone I get awefully excited about tbh
