Not sure there are enough "top" players to make the expansion justified.

In some ways I am glad Thornton has got in as winning a major gets rewarded but we will see if there is a freak winner of one in future years whether they will get in.

No one can really complain about being left out though and the likes of Pipe, Chisnall and Winstanley etc have been given a big incentive to step up to the next level in 2013 if there are going to be 10 at the top table and not just 8.

Nice to see the BDO World Champs start today

There is nothing wrong with the BDO mate. It gets bad raps because of the idiots that run/have run the organisation. It obviously doesn't have the strength in depth that the PDC has, but the BDO is a refreshing change from the PDC. Better crowds, and there is no jizz fest about players in particular unlike the Sky-Taylor relationship, plus there are more shocks in the BDO. Plus the BDO has a more difficult board, it rejects darts all the time, the triples are only 25% as big as the PDC ones, and the bull does only look bigger but is in fact half size.

I like it, but I'm one of the rare ones that actually likes both and have not been brainwashed into being a PDC Fanboy by Barry Hearn.

I never knew the trebles were of a different size to the PDC boards as I thought they'd be the same. The crowds are definately more respectful towards the players as it's not nice to hear the crowd trying to put a player off ( even if that player is a tool ). I like watching the BDO Championships too.
The BDO has the lovely Anastasia too which helps !!!
