I never get the advocates of Capital punishmnet as being the 'ultimate' punishment, i've said before, a room with a thin mattress, toilet, only water to drink, rice and beans to eat, 23 and a half hours in a cell every day for the rest of their life, if it gets too much and they take their own life so be it, their choice.

It's been fun.

How about "I'm a Celebrity, String 'em Up"" in which high profile right wing celebrities (I'm writing to Jim Davison as I speak) compete against each other in a prison setting for the right to be crowned "King of the Rope" and to officiate at an actual live execution, a commercial break would be called for as the prisoner is stood ready on the trapdoor and then when we come back there is a two minute phone-in reprieve slot at premium rates at the end of which Ant or Dec hold one finger to an ear and say "We've now got the results of the phone-in reprieve and the viewers vote is..."

My mobile phone bill would be huge depending on how ugly the criminal is, Ruth Ellis would have got off of course if she really was as good a looker as the films make out.

Still struggling to find any disagreement with those sentiments

You have missed the point. Or more likely chosen to deliberately ignore it.

The title of the thread is infantile, spiteful, or possibly both. People have realised this.

It shows complete lack of judgement on the part of the original poster, who now looks like a complete booty. Which is probably why he has not been seen on this thread since.

You got any tv exec contacts?

What if the phone-in audience had the power to reverse the trapdoor position of the prisoner and the tv celebrity?

Now were talking.
Oh what fun. :D

Agreed. Hardly surprising however as he did once say he wished to slit my throat because I asked him for his opinion on how he would reduce the budget deficit.

Who mentioned political dinosaurs?

He hasn't been seen because he had other things to do. As for a "lack of judgement", WTF are you to judge? The sentiment expressed in the thread title and OP are entirely sincere: Patnick conspired to deny justice to the families of 96 dead people, only issuing an apology once he'd been called out by a commission of enqury.

At least he has now joined the list of good tories

Your limited powers of comprehension are no longer in any doubt, there's absolutely no need to prove once again that you have difficulty reading what was actually written

That's because those advocating capital punishment aren't interested in justice, only revenge
