Anyway. Back to planet Earth as opposed to whatever planet NS is on...

Who do we fancy for the Manc derby on Sunday? Im not sure Utd can come back against City like they have been doing most weeks this season.

Can't see anything other than a City win, unfortunately.

2. I still have yet to hear an argument suggesting what differently anyone would have done in the same position as Wimbledon FC's management.

well, hows about a possible ground sharing with a neighbour (RU or football or whoever) ie. someone within say a 25 mile radius ? with the agreement of the FA of course - how much was that idea explored at the time ?

Most Wimbledon fans never even attempted to save their club when they had the opportunity (impractical as doing so may or may not have been) and took the easier route of abandoning it to it's fate to support a new club lacking all the baggage that the old club was lumbered with.

5. Most Wimbledon fans lost the basic right to complain about whatever eventually happened to their old club as a result. If you throw something away in the trash then you no longer own it and can't complain when someone else takes it out of the trash and does whatever they feel like doing with it.

9. We stuck the veritable fingers up at AFC Kingston only after they'd done the same to us for 3 years - don't let the angry revisionist history mongers of West London pretend otherwise...

10. Cardiff City are not boycotted by two-faced supporters groups, abused by opposition supporters and constantly condemned in the media at every available turn...

Utter bullsh*t. Still, you carry on.

Yes. I carry on having a reasoned and valid argument that troll scumbags can't debate reasonably and can only counter with grunts and profanity.

I win yet again.

See above. Pity there isn't a "white flag waving" smiley for you to use isn't it, my plastic club supporting loser friend.

Great idea - I don't know why noone thought of that at the time! They could have easily tried groundsharing at somewhere like, oooh I don't know, Selhurst Park for a decade instead couldn't they? Their fans would have stayed loyal and kept on turning up to see them in record numbers then wouldn't they?

Oh hang on a minute... They DID.... And THEY didn't...

No, you don't. The events that led to MK Dons coming into being is a matter of public record. Your revisionist version of those events does not match that public record.

Plenty of people have provided a reasoned argument as to why the franchising of a football club to artificially create MK is very bad thing and why we have every sympathy with and support for AFC Wimbledon. You skriking about Wimbledon fans somehow abandoning a club that no longer represented them, nor their area, how people have been "brainwashed" into being against you and lies about Wimbledon fans abandoning their club do not make a reasoned and valid argument. The fact that you've also seemingly missed the outcry against Cardiff doesn't exactly do you any favours, neither.

To start the debate again would only be repeating what's gone on before.

By the way - the fact there is now an AFC Wimbledon in the Football League shows that the club could definitely have had a future. But the businessmen in charge just wanted a new club elsewhere and didn't want to start again. Wimbledon could've survived quite easily.

The events that led to the creation of MK Dons are not under debate (well, some of the finer details are, but that's all) - we all know that shady dealings were behind it all and it all stank to high hell. It certainly wasn't all as black and white as it was portrayed, and AFC had a substantial chunk of culpability in it all and they were a long, long way from the poor, sweet little innocent slaughtered lambs they have managed to have themselves painted as in the press, but it sucked big time never the less.

The validity of their existence now as a football club just the same as any other is what has been debated in these august pages by my good self and which I stand undefeated on a big pile of broken bodies on. Noone has yet offered a valid reason as to why MK Dons deserve vilification and ridicule now over and above that which any other of dozens and dozens of other clubs are at least equally worthy of, most especially all the Premier League big boys and the plastic construct that is Wigan Athletic in particular. Well, no argument besides "well, football fans just know it, that's all, so ner" anyway (Marvelous debating that by the way - Jonathan Dimbleby will soon be in fear of his job with that kind of insight coming for him). Or "Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Man Utd all raped their communities for the first time 100 years ago instead of 10 so that's alright, and haven't change their names and colours on any of the dozens of occasions they've done it since so they don't count either"... I wonder if that's how the Holocaust Apologists started?

Again, as so often on here, try arguing with the points I am actually making, and not the ones that you'd prefer I was making instead, eh?

See above.... :DEPRESSED:

...and AFC Kingston are not burdened with millions in debt and a business structure that would require a bigger ground than the tiny hole that is Kingsmeadow to survive in unlike the old club. Their situation is utterly incomparable to that of the old club's... Wimbledon FC would have died if they'd remained in London - not even the AFC fans seriously debate otherwise...
