Nope sounds like its cancelled mate (double check it is though),im sure they will reschedule both Manchester dates.
Its a strange feeling having a gig cancelled, a mixture of disappointment and understanding. I went to see R.E.M at Sheffield about 5 years ago when the gig was cancelled. Mike Mills had been obmitted to hospital with bronchitis that day. As Michael Stipe and Pete Buck wondered on stage with the lights still on you knew something was wrong.
They explained the reason (Stipe couldn't apologise enough, especially as it was on the night of a snowstorm) but still gave us a 3 song acoustic set....and saw the rescheduled gig 4 month later.

Well it has been postponed so I'm pretty gutted! Hope it's going to be rearranged for a convenient date. With getting an email from Gaslight Anthem about their tour in March I'll be going to see them again with any luck!

Two shows in Manchester. Pre sale started today, but I can't see any issues with tix over two shows.

Yeh, I meant I have to make my friends part with their money first, even though it'll be fully worth it. I prefer the Academy to the Apollo too so should be good.

We supported a chap called Drew Nelson last night. He was just lovely. Think Springsteen in his Nebraska era. Influences of Kris Kristofferson, Neil Young, Townes van Zandt and that ilk.
He gave me a copy of his album Tilt a Whirl, which I'm about to give a listen on the way to work later. He's well worth a listen if you like industrial Americana.

Off to see Magnum (rock band not tv series before anyone tries to be funny) at Holmfirth this friday, they're being supported by Trillium, just wondered if anyone has heard or seen of this lot ?
Sheffield for Journey/Whitesnake/Thunder for me too next year

Magnum as in '70's prog rockers' Magnum? I saw them in Bolton around 1995.
They where fantastic but showing their age a bit then, so god knows what they'll be like now (there were some proper Spinal Tap moments where the giant 'mood' fan at the side of the stage was blowing some of the comb overs/comb forwards hair back from balding heads when I saw them).
Let me know how they were when you see them.
What's the touch line like down there mate? 'It's long, it's white, it's about a hundred metres long!'.
