Leeds 1-5 is very good and the halfbacks are as good as any. They have a pack that can stand up to any when they're interested but it's ageing and will need some smart recruitment/promotion work pretty soon.
The Leeds backrow has a maximum age of 27, excepting JJB. (Ablett, Delaney, Ward, Achurch, Clarkson), and there's a pair of young hookers in McShane and Hood.
Yes, the props are aging and replacing Peacock is going to be difficult, but generally I'd say Leeds are pretty well set for the future (barring the 3/4s heading off to the NRL). The one thing I'd say they've got wrong is holding on to Leuluai instead of resigning Amor.

That's like saying that Wigan have no 30 year olds in the pack except O'Loughlin.
Four of the six starting forwards are likely to be over 30. Leuluai, Burrow, Peacock, JJB and then there's Bailey who is 29. Hardly a young dynamic pack.
SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS
For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.
For 27 - 0 you get a trophy For 75 - 0 you get sod all.
Wigan had eight in a row Saints have five in a row
id rather have a pack of predominantly old heads and a set of young outside backs. its exactly the old heads that keep winning leeds the sl
I've seen them bomb a quarter final, bottle a semi final, finish as league leaders, but I've still, never, seen the Wire win the league Doom and gloom, doom and gloom

I would say 3 not 4 of the first choice pack. It'll be Leuluai *or* Bailey. Now Ablett's moving back to the pack Bailey won't play at Loose, and there'll be games that JJB won't start.
However Leeds *could* field a pack of Bailey, McShane, Achurch, Ablett, Delaney, Ward (Singleton, Clarkson) which would be pretty young. But it's not all about who can field the youngest team...

This
People are keen to dismiss a team because the have a few 30 plus players. IMO a good experienced pack will more times than not beat a young pack.
Its a great thing to have lots of young players in a team, but winning games is the main focus. Leeds, Saints and Wire have all done quite well with these teams full of crustys.
What's the rumpus, Tom?
