Has it taken anything away from Scholes or Rooney? They seem to be stacked with recognition despite being horrible tacklers/divers/cheap shot merchants (insert whichever for each player). I don't recall people talking about the time Scholes took a swing for Alonso, but I guess Suarez biting somebody's ear really is that much worse than trying to jaw someone, right? What about Defoe? Remember him biting Mascherano? Didn't think so. Suarez isn't the most pleasing of people to watch on the pitch, he's frustrating and pushes the boundaries of being competitive. Yes, it's a shame, but so many other players do it I don't see why it's such a big problem to so many oppo supporters. Stoke players do far worse every week yet it's completely accepted as a tactic.

He's quite simply the current scapegoat, that's all.. though i'm sure there's a few on RAWK who might suggest it's an FA conspiracy. I hope you don't go on there, you're at least a LITTLE bit measured with your bias, somebody on there claimed 'There's never been a luckier player than Javier Hernandez'... which made me giggle. Oh, also neither Scholes or Rooney have been a racist... but that's by-the-by i guess.

He is no doubt incredibly unpopular off the field as well as on it.
AFAIK, the only off field antics I can think of are his varying excuses for the lack of the handshake and his appeal to the Dutch league because his club didn't want to sell him.
Apart from those two events, all his indiscretions are on the pitch.
I don't know what he's like off the pitch. But I also don't care either.
Would I rather have Suarez, with all his negative incidents, or Torres, with his crap play. Hello Luis, goodbye Fernando.

In a nutshell. Everybody on here would have him in their team in a heartbeat. He would get into any team in the world.

Totally agree, and there lies the problem for Liverpool....Suarez and his agents will have no doubts about his value and his potential and unless Liverpool suddenly improve massively in the next 12 months, then its almost certain that he'll be hawked around the big Champions League sides.
I'd give it until next summer, then I think Suarez will be gone.
And so you aim towards the sky, And you'll rise high today, Fly away, Far away, Far from pain....
