Its still not really sunk in yet that we have made it to the grand final, like Lee Briers said we still have another game to play yet so we'll still keep our feet on the ground.
Trent Waterhouse is a machine both with ball in hand and in defence, what can you say about Lee Briers that already hasn't been said. Mike Cooper had his biggest game in a Warrington shirt and what a game to pick, they don't come much tougher than St Helens away in a grand final eliminator. Ben Westwood at 50% was as uncompromising as ever, Brett Hodgson after his early error bounced back to put in yet another top performance, he had a hand in a couple of our tries and kicked some superb pressure kicks from out wide, he's like a hoover at the back and mops up virtually everything that comes his way, his reading of the game from fullback is second to none in SL imo. Chris Riley is certainly one of the best finishers in the game, give him the right kind of ball and more often than not he'll find a way to get over the line, same with Joel Monaghan. Then you have Ryan Atkins with one of his trademark, powerful runs with a great offload to Trent Waterhouse to score at a key time in the game.
Very proud of the lads from 1-17 along with Sir Tony Smith and the coaching setup.

Great effott from Warrington, you beat a class outfit. I'm a Leeds fan but enjoy watching you guys who play rugby in the right way. I have to say, I have rated Lee Briers for years, lovely player and now the old warhorse, tailsman and general out on the pitch. I think he's probably one of the most underrated players we've ever see in this game. This day and age, people are obbssessed about pace for a half back non not many have a football brain like Briers. I thought Waterhouse was immense but credit to all the players.
And Tony Smith, what a couch, he coached us to two Grand Finals and was gutted to lose him to England.

one thing i haven't seen mentioned in any thread yet, riley covering and putting makinson into touch after fooking up that bomb at the start of the second half, that kept us in the game. it was momentous.

It was Atkins' speed that cut him off, then Atkins and Hodgson together that got him into touch.
I think a lot of the praise has been rightly given out, but while I'm here it's worth saying that Atkins had his best game for ages, his run and pass for Trent's first try was outstanding.
