Lord God Jose Mourinho wrote:If Moyes comes in and fails then Fergie's shadow is still going to loom over the incoming manager.

Not exactly similar, especially because he's still around, but Mourinho's shadow still looms over Stamford Bridge, and he was only there for 3 1/2 years.

If none of the to level will take the job when it's available then Moyes might get it, but any of them want it and they'll be chosen before him.

Reckon Ancellotti could be a good fit for United if he wins titles and does respectable in the CL at PSG.

Ferguson will have a big say in who his successor is, which will give Moyes a very good chance, as Ferguson rates him very highly.

I go with Saddened's view in that Moyes will be a low risk, low cost option which will appeal to United, who have seen the likes of Chelsea spend fortunes trying to find the new Mourinho.

Moyes will probably cement the United job, if he can get this Everton side into the top 4 again, which is looking a possibility the way this season is unfolding.

Wouldn't the Glazers look to Mourinho when Fergie calls time?.

Would Klop at Dortmund be in for a shout as well?

Ferguson should rate Moyes highly because he's a good boss. He'll rate Mourinho significantly higher, because he's on a similar level to Ferguson and proven to be able to work at that level.

I think the "low cost" of Moyes would be a false economy. Chelsea have had to spend fortunes trying to find the new Mourinho simply because they were stupid enough to think it wasn't that hard to do the job. They've been proved wrong.

Mourinho, Guardiola. They'd be United's first options, along with whoever's lights are shining brightest in Europe at the time. If they all say no, Moyes is a possibility. And then they can emulate Liverpool and lie that Moyes was the #1 choice all along.

No, Chelsea spent a fortune because the owner is a cock who knows little about football, and is inclined to behave like a little kid when his side don't win things.

Mourihno sacked because he didn't win the league for a third consectutive time, Ancelotti sacked after failing to follow up the small feat of a league and cup double the following year....

Whilst Abramovich's money has been a huge help, the fact he's an egotistical nobhead has been a huge disadvantage to Chelsea - Without his meddling, they could have easily dominated the last 7 or 8 years in European and English football.

Looked like a 50:50 to me. Shelvey only hurt Evans because the Ulsterman went in with a full-bloodied challenge himself. They were both desperate to win the ball. Fair play to both of them for showing great committment.

Obviously you know Abramovich well. I guess you mix in the same circles?

While I think getting rid of Mourinho was the dumbest decision in football history, if you've just spunked the amount of money that he had on the club, if you're told by an ex-manager that he's easily replaced, if most journos are at war with him and put down the titles purely to the money, then why would you put up with that arrogant man who claims all the credit and starts a fight in an empty room?

Anclotti did win the double, but the title was won by being the best of sides that had a poor season, and was countered by two weak exits out of the CL. Grant, Ranierri and Di Matteo, two novices and a nearly man offered significantly better CL campaigns than Ancelotti did.

10 trophies in just under 10 years. If he's a cock who knows little about football, he's still a cock who practically every other football club in Europe would have preferred to have been bought by when he bought us.

The legal charges are obviously going to be different to the FA charges. There's practically no way that legal language can ever meet fully the FA rules. But this case is close enough to mean that if it doesn't apply in this case, then will it never apply. And right now the FA need to answer why they don't have to follow their own rules when they were the ones who wrote the rules in the first place.

In many ways if the FA did have to withdraw the case because of rule 6.8 that would have been a victory and a loss for Terry though. .

The FA need to re-visit rule 6.8. A governing body needs to have the flexibility to discipline a member for unacceptable behaviour that falls short of criminality. In this case they've got just enough wiggle room to bring a charge, but they shouldn't put themselves in that situation.

Awww, diddums. They admit he's got a rep for it so does that mean they admit he's a cheat? Probably not. Also, Evans got the ball when tackling Suarez in the box.

Hive mentality

As for Shelvey, at least he dispelled the myth that anything bad happening to a Liverpool player is someone else's fault

Well you've answered your own question there. This club is only big enough for one ego Jose.
