He is only the Chief Whip, so he doesn't actually have any Ministerial power, his job is just to discipline the Tory MPs. If he's an obnoxious fool and bully then the joke's on the Tory backbench MPs more than us.

Met now investigating how the Scum got hold of the police notes of the incident. I wonder...

Cameron can't sack him, he's only been in the post a week or so and instantly reveals exactly the sort of nature that Cameron is supposed to be denying with his insistence that "We're all in this together", Cameron appointed him, if he has to sack him a week later then he's in deep doo-doo.

Anyway Dave - where are the tapes, lets get this thing out in the open before any more damage is done.

Didn't Boris suggest that anyone who swore at police should be charged and get a criminal record, wonder if his stance has changed.

There's something in that.
Obnoxious fool and bully sounds about the right sort of personality (if that's the right word) for that role.

probably not, I doubt Boris would care if the press are on Andrew Mitchell's back, Boris isn't really a man to cultivate alliances in the party

Female student on a volunteer project in Africa tells about how Mitchell threatened her and rang her Dad to vent his anger.

Sounds like a right headcase.

They should get a rant match Gordon Brown v Andrew Mitchell and televise it.
