Suarez was brilliant, Sterling very lively. Man Utd just soaked up Liverpool's possession and took their chances. It was nice to see the handshake and the Man Utd players with 96 on back of the shirt's. There will always be a few numpties from both sets if fans. Liverpool desperately need a striker.

Never watched today's game, only just got back from work and I doubt I'll be watching MOTD. Lad in work (City fan) said Evans and Shelvey both should have walked or been yellowed, but never just Shelvey. That's about all I've heard in terms of incidents. Heard we played very well but luck was again out. Is it luck or is it ability? Last year I defended our team regularly because we were playing well but were desperately unlucky. This year has been much of the same in ways; how often can you defend the same shortcomings with luck? At least a few young lads are getting games.
Hope we turn things around but we've had a hard start to the season, it doesn't get 'easier' with the league the way it is now, so we're going to have to improve or keep pinning it on luck.
Both went kind of aerial, but evans got there first and got the ball, as soon as he did that Shelvey was in trouble

I really don't know what it will take for you lot to see it's not bad luck, you're just genuinely short on quality. My facebook is rife with comments about 'luck' from LFC fans (that and some hoping Halsey gets kidnapped and beheaded by al-qaeda (classy eh LTS? )), You're one of very few level headed Reds i know of, the rest are just... i don't know... idiots.

On the very first viewing Shelvey went in recklessly, went over the ball and ended up clattering into Evans.
Some times you'll be lucky and get a yellow for that, but it is the type of tackles that the authorities are clamping out of the game.
On the replays it's clear that Evans has gone in two footed. That's outlawed too, and worthy of a red. But the commentators didn't pick up on that straight away, I don't think most neutrals would have. I think most people would have only seen the terrible challenge from Shelvey. So I don't think the ref can be blamed too much for not seeing it with his one, real time viewing.
Luiz did a similar challenge to Shelvey yesterday. He was lucky in only getting a yellow. But the Stoke players and manager bitched and moaned and the after match opinion was that Luiz should have been off.

looked a straight red to me and a yellow for Evans
good entertainment at the Etihad with the Gooners playing some nice stuff and getting a well earned point IMO
THFC scraped the victory over a pretty poor QPR side, looks like AVB will still be in employment for at least another couple of weeks unfortunately....
