Can someone tell me why Mancini picked Maicon to play against Ronaldo? Roasted him. Yaya was very impressive, Barry less so, he looks very round in the dark blue kit.
Yaya is just a beast, a battering ram but with pace, he looks untouchable at times, only thing that let him down was his final ball (bar the pass to Dzeko), City could have been 2 up before then.

Jesus I want to shoot the commentators at times.
If the game's 0-0 then it doesn't matter if Real had had 1,000 shots on goal. If it's 0-0 then Citeh didn't need to change a thing. But the commentators I was watching were saying how Citeh needed to get more into the game.
A defeat was harsh on Citeh in the end, but I think if they'd have stuck with the defensive mindset late in the game then a draw or a win could have been theirs. I think the fact that they got excited and the game opened up played straight into Madrid's hands.

Pretty much spot on, LGJM As a City fan, I thought at 1-0 and 2-1 we we're a little lucky, but, it's not City's fault that Real were wasteful with their chances.
I'm more than a little concerned, however, with last season's best defence looking a little seive-like. Vincent Kompany looks out of form. Hopefully he'll be back to his best v Arsenal.
One side point. Alexsander Kolorov must be the most wasteful footballer, EVER. I can't remember him actually completing a pass.

I think Kompany is struggling with all of the changes in personnel around him.
Mancini's taking some big risks at the moment. A different defensive system every week, new players thrown in at the deep end, Silva being wrapped in cotton wool. It seems like he's decided to sacrifice early season form and results in search of an extra 10% improvement. If we finish the season strongly he'll be vindicated, but a couple of decent results would be good.

I never paid any attention to Moses before we got him, but on two short sub performances I've been very impressed. Great control, pace and an attacking mindset. I think his decisions have been very good, excellent retention rate.
Nothing staggering from him so far, but just looks like a huge prospect who could be fantastic.
Torres - I know he's suffered at Chelsea. I know his confidence must be lacking. But if he's our main focal point in attack, the least he should be doing is looking to make dangerous off the ball runs when we're breaking. Falco, against us would make three different, dangerous runs every time AM broke. He was a defenders nightmare because he'd be running into dangerous areas, causing defenders to have to scramble, then move into another dangerous area. Torres just seems to search for the places where he won't get the ball of cause defenders any problems.
Sturridge over Torres every week for me. I think it's a travesty that he's been held back by the pale shadow of a hope that Torres will come good.
