Might be as early as tomorrow, certainly coming this week. Wonder if Cameron will play it safe and keep all the big fish in post and just mix up the junior ministers.
I think there might be a few noses put out of joint if there are any controversial moves. The Tory party does have a tendency to tear open wounds when individuals are bitter at not getting their way.
The problem for Cameron is there are a few names that need moving on but there are no credible alternatives to replace them.
Osborne needs to go, he is out of his depth. The credible alternatives - Clarke or Cable - are both unpalatable to Conservative hierachy, and Cable would end up pursuing a different economic policy.
Theresa May is also out of her depth but can't see who would replace her.
Andrew Lansley, Danny Alexander and Francis Maude are blunderers that are unpopular with everybody. Maude is the kind of nice person like Oliver Letwin that could be out of a Harry Enfield sketch sending up Tory stereotypes.
I see a lot of speculation about Chris Grayling being promoted to a senior role, what a joke that would be, he was Shadow Home Sec in opposition, was demoted at the time the Tories won the election because he was gaffe prone, he's been minister for employment, and has made no impact on getting people in to work, and now he's talked up as a promotion candidate.
I pity the poor department that gets Baroness Warsi, particularly if its International Development, who have a fair chance of losing Andrew Mitchell because Mitchell is one of the few non toxic members of government, a low key decent bloke similar to Hilary Benn at Labour.
My main hope is that Cable retains his post, yes people slag him off for joining the Coalition but he is one man who is actually trying to fight an alternative agenda as much as he can from within Cabinet and is a bulwark against some of the zany Tory deregulate everything and remove all workers rights ideas.

Seems likely that Camoron will pack the cabinet with more right-wing nut-jobs, though quite how more right-wing this bunch could get is beyond me. Looks like Warsi is on her way, she tweeted as much last night:
@ToryChairman
It's been a privilege and an honour to serve my party as co-chairman , signing off @ToryChairman , signing on @sayeedawarsi
I'll be sorry to see her take a lower profile job, she's been pure comedy gold. This weekend she stated the tories had to reach out to more women, ethnic minorities and working class and she was best placed to help because she was all three. Well she may be female and she may be Asian but if being the daughter of a bed-manufacturer with a £2m turnover is now "working class", then she really has lost the plot. Warsi is yet another indication of just how shallow Camoron is. she was invited into the cabinet through tokenism, pure & simple.
Last night's booing of Osborne & Camoron in the Paralympic medal ceremonies show how much they are hated. The one person who is safe in this reshuffle will be Gideon and unfortunately, apart from being a financial iliterate, judging by his inane grin through the boos, he simply hasn't got a clue about what's happening around him. He also permanently has the look of someone who's just soiled their pants.
The older I get, the better I was

Absolutely, bloody priceless. The best bit for me is Gideons smarmy face suddenly turning to confusion when he realises they are not cheering but booing, but trying to keep it composed. Worth more than a days worth of Co-Codomols to me
Getting the message yet boys??

Can't find a link but I heard a comment on the radio over the weekend that of all the Members of Parliament currently incumbent, only around 150 have any work experience outside of poilitics - that is the vast majority have never worked for or run a business after leaving university with a degree in, presumably, politics.
Placing someone who only understands theories in charge of a department with a billion pound budget is tantamount to neglect.
