Suarez so far is his usual fancy but no product self and Gerrard looks worringly like he's finished to me. He gave the ball away for Arsenal's goal and gave up on the pursuit of Podolski on the half way line, which is unforgivable. I should probably have waited until full time to post this as I'm sure they will both score second half now.
Arsenal look pretty impressive so far. Cazorla is a cracking little player and Diaby is absolutely dominating the midfield. I can see why they weren't particularly bothered about Song departing.
Was a great counter-attack goal. You're probably right about the Sterling thing too

Still think I should be towing the old "it will be fine, don't worry about it" line?
I still stand by what I posted after the first game of the season, there is no way we will qualify for the CL. Rogers is out of his depth, our squad is an utter shambles and transfer deadline day was just a complete joke. Like I said, it would be nice if he could prove me wrong and get us back up there, but I very much doubt he will still be here come Christmas.
And the icing on the cake will be if we have to bring Michael Owen back. That will just reek of desperation.

Listening on radio so couldn't possibly comment on these "decisions" without seeing them first. I might have to sign up to RAWK just to bring some balance to proceedings, but no doubt I will soon be banned for not saying that this year will be our year and that Rogers "iz da bestest, laaaaaaaaaa".

You probably should have had a pen for Mertesacker's slight shove on Suarez
Arsenal have thoroughly outplayed Liverpool today. I'd be pretty worried if I were Brendan Rodgers to be honest. Allen is a neat player but does nothing but move the ball on, useful if you're winning but utterly useless if you are losing, Sahin looked much the same but we'll have to give him time as it was his debut today. Gerrard has had a truly terrible game today, as has Suarez. The bench also has absolutely no quality on it at all, I can't see why he'd even bother making subs.
Sterling looks quite a player, he's been a constant threat down the left. In fact, Liverpool's best moments today have all been from wide positions, Sterling down the left and Johnson down the right. They seem to be crying out for a target man, a Llorente or Andy Carroll type of player. I don't know where they will get one of those from though, they would be very expensive.
I know Rodgers has this Barcelona vision as his main gameplan, the little one touch passing and dominance of possession. It will take him a few years to achieve that at Liverpool as they just don't have players of sufficient talent to do it. Their back four isn't good enough on the ball, evidence in their calamitous showing at West Brom and their midfield, Allan and Sahin apart don't have the quality or the skill to do it well, Arsenal have passed Liverpool to death today.
I think he's made a major mistake in not keeping Carroll and using him to have a more direct plan B then moving to the possession based short passing game he wants when he builds a squad capable of playing it.
