How do you control it? Is it hammering buttons like the Olympics game but for hours?

Yes I think it's better.

As for TDF, you don't actually race the whole stage, just important sections like the start, climbs, sprints and the finish. The rest is simmed. It's more of a strategy game but the user controls the speed of the rider by tapping x to gather speed which can be then maintained by holding down x and released to slow down. There are 3 bars measuring stamina to be aware of and have to be used wisely to make the stage in good time. You control the communication of the whole team (9 riders - some specialising in sprints, others in climbs etc) instructing them to form relays in an attempt to speed up or slow down the peloton, to protect important riders from the wind, attack and form a breakaway or to disrupt other teams plans. All in all it's quite difficult but it was a lot better than I was expecting, though some might find it boring.

It's not THAT much harder than Heroic, if you stick your head out on heroic OR legendary you're pretty much dead anyway, especially if there's a bunch of Elites around. So on both difficulties it's a case of picking the tougher enemies off one at a time.

I remember getting to the final boss on Halo 2 on legendary but never finishing it. Did about 10 minutes of Halo 3 on legendary and gave up.

I managed to finish Halo 3 on Legendary. You have to be pretty patient as, like you said, you have to pretty much pick off enemies one by one moving in and out of cover each time.

I pre-ordered Halo 4 not too long ago for £17.99 from Argos on a misprice. Surprisingly they're actually honouring it rather than cancelling the order.

Looking forward to the new Hitman in November as well.

Yeah, you gotta pick off the grunts and jackals before tackling the tougher elites and brutes. Scoped rifles are an absolute necessity to finish it on legendary, accompanied by the plasma pistol to drain the shields in one blast.

Any Kinect users have a view on its age-appropriateness for a 4 year old?

Wondering the same thing myself. All I know is Kinect adventures is no good, only game I've got for Kinect. Can anyone recommend some?

Also Sleeping Dogs seems pretty good, not got too far yet though.

It's great, kids love it. The kinectimals game is superb and the sports games are good too. The Disney game and monsters games are too.

The only problem with kinetic is the enthusiasm kids have for it. With the tv being the focus the natural instinct is to move towards it. So initially and whenever they get excited by it you will have them constantly rushing to the screen and setting off the 'move back!' warning on screen. We ended up having to put the couch cushions in the way so they couldn't move forwards too far.

As for a four year old they might struggle with the menus using gestures as it requires some precision but they should find the games I mentioned easy to play. Most of the games aimed at a young audience use very simple gesture controls. Kinectimals for example uses slapping your thighs like you do to call a dog and things like jumping, running on the spot and falling over to control the animals. Any kid able to follow basic instructions like jump, stand, fall over, sit down, roll over, wave arms etc should be able to get the hang of it very quickly.
