I don't normally 'do' RIP threads, but one of my favourite SF authors from my childhood passed away early this morning. Harry Harrison wrote some of the more fun and easily accessible SF stories out there and was in no small part responsible for my abiding love of the genre. He also wrote Make Room! Make Room! which formed the basis of the movie Soylent Green.
