All you had to do was wait until the end of the game, climb the stairs at the back of the Royal Box and you'd come to an exit door from the press bar. Knock on the door and you could guaranteee that some boozed-up hack would open it and let you in. Once in there, you had "access all areas" freedom to roam wherever you wanted.
When I was younger I prided myself on being able to talk my way into anywhere.

I am now actually enjoying the Olympics..... but for all the wrong reasons. 1/ Raising the South Korean flag instead of the North Korean. Absolute incompetence. 2/ The Olympic cable car breaking down over the Thames... Made In Britain 3/ An East African competitor has already applied for asylum... quel surprise, I never saw that 1 coming
Only 24 hours to go folks, thank god it's Steven Seagal season on 5 USA

Quite. The only bad thing about when the Olympics end is that the BBC will forget who Jessica Ennis is, so will stop putting her EVERYWHERE on their channels/websites.

After the Korean flag debacle, I hope Kazahstan win something and they manage to play Borat's version of the anthem, as actually happened in a medal ceremony in Kuwait
Quote:Kazakhstan greatest country in the world all other countrys are run by little girls. Kazakhstan number one exporter of potassium! Other countries have inferior potassium. Kazakhstan home of the Tinshein swimming pool it's length thirty metre and width six metre. Filtration system a marvel to behold it removes 80 percent of human solid waste.

They also didn't have the anthem at all for the visiting Ghanian football team in 08 so they sent someone out and found one. They lined up before the second half to sing it.
A bit like when in Oz years ago they played the German anthem for the Israeli team then.
As people are picky about what they get their news from, I found it on the Guardian website:

Flags are a constant source of error. At Headingley I think it's a tradition that, when whenever Union Flags are carried by cheerleaders, at least one flag has to be upside-down.
At the 1948 London games, so much attention had been paid to the flags of visiting nations, that they forgot to provide a Union Flag, and Roger Bannister (non-competitor, you may be surprised to learn) had to go and get a little one out of the back of an official's car (breaking the car window to do it) just in time for the opening ceremony. Anyone slower might not have made it !!!
Freedom without Socialism is privilege and injustice. Socialism without freedom is slavery and brutality.

Round of applause to Specsavers ad agency, who wasted no time getting this into print:

Surely it just means the cheerleader in question is in distress. Did you notice this at the Cas game by any chance?
