We basically continued right from where we left off against Salford. Which was simply not good enough to win the game. The scoreline flattered us somewhat.
Hull have been better than us in all 3 games this season. Scoring 98 pts and when you consider some of their selection problems they've had it's a pretty embarrassing return, overall.
IMO we've produced some of our best performances when Hall has been at 6. Green just hasn't kicked on since returning. -------------------- Reading t'other board about the Chairman's programme notes, doesn't exactly paint the picture all is well in the camp either.
I was actually impressed with Mika last night. In the right hands he'd be devastating. Summary: Dobson is just a turnstyle. Paea is a classic 10 minute prop. A couple of runs and that's all you get. Green is overweight and probably fed up of carrying the team. Cut Galea loose early. His heart isn't there. The only passion I saw from Rovers was Sandercock's little tantrums in the stand. At one point he looked like he was holding back tears.
Tickle and Moa are massive losses for us. The scoreline could have been really embarrassing had they played. Our forwards were immense last night and really battered you.

If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.
Quote:Neil Hudgells programme notes: "Whilst on the subject of developing our own players, what I do strongly resent is backing them from a young age, investing in them, training them up and seeing them fall under the 'control' of certain agents who look to peddle them around to suit their own needs - i.e money. In some instances, and we have one here at the moment, they actively look to engineer an exit for players from one club to another where they have cosier relationships, by making stupidly ridiculous demands or refusing to negotiate at all"
I wonder who Howes wants Taylor to play for next ??

Thought the consensus was Leeds if he does leave. Would love him at Hull, top young player.

Ha! Yeah, I actually went and read it on their board first.
Agents will always meddle, it's frustrating, but that's their job.
I agree about the player announcements, in't olden days players signed for clubs and clubs agreed to keep quiet about it, now every Tom, Dick and massive thicko has a Twitter feed that's impossible.
Personally I can't see why players announce it, it leaves them wide open to accusations of not trying for their current team and having one eye on next season. But then, we're talking about big daft lads here so shouldn't really be surprised.

A bad day got worse for me as I fell off my boke on Preston Rd. If the owner of the red car I hit the back of (sorry, didn't get the make or model) is reading this and I damaged the car in anyway, pm me. Cheers.
