Cav has still got a few years in him. And he will expect support to gain the green back next year. Froome as long as he stay fit has shown he has gc potential. Though if he's a contador beater is another thing. G will be back focusing on the road and I see him as a future spring classic winner and potential gc contender. Swifty and kennaugh are also looking good.

I think we'll see some good British presence over the next few years

I agree with everything you've said but........how many Brits are riding the Tour this year compared to other nationalities?

I know quantity and quality are two entirely seperate commodities but I'd love to the number of British world tour riders increased to the point where every team has a Brit on it. Maybe even a point where we can have a second world tour team. That for me would really signal the arrival of British cycling.

with the sky contract extended i can see them developing up and coming british riders for the next few years, in conjunction with the gb team, especially as dave brailsford has a foot in both camps

Newspapers down the jersey for the descent. Good scrap between Voeckler and Kesiakoff over the first lump, almost disturbed by some helmet running between them.

Nibbles has gone for it. Jumps out of the peloton on the descent from the Menté and bridges to a lead group 35 seconds up the road

Excellent. This is why I took yesterday and today off.

That didn't last. Looked like Valverde, knowing Sky would be hunting the escape group down if Nibbles was in it, told him to eff right off. He sat up anyway, and is now back alongside the yellow jersey.
