Let me see...
Why does a multi-billion-dollar worldwide sport have fewer difficulties with bureaucracy than a vastly smaller sport confined to a few small regions in a small number of countries?
Bit of a puzzler, that.

No need for the sarcasm
Just wondered why it's easier for footballers to secure a visa?

a lot of footballers are European and can't they therefore come without visa issues due to European law? That plus they probably get it easier due to the global scale of football and the amount of tax the govt make from their wages!!

I think it would be good business on Hull's behalf if the Tick-meister went to Hudds and Brough came to us. However, I think AP may have to get his cheque book out for Brough, can't see Huddersfield getting rid of the family silver on the cheap even if he allegedly has thrown in a transfer request.

Lets say we remain optimistic about Tickle coming our way. I was rather hoping it might be announced quietly during the hullaballoo that will no doubt accompany Mr Chase's signing, so the sooner you get that sorted the better!
As to whether he might go elsewhere as part of a deal for you to sign Brough, I am clearly not in a position to comment, he may feel it takes him sufficiently close to his family home, his former team mate Mr Brown clearly doesn't think Huddersfield is near enough to Wigan for him and his family. Tickle may of course want to be part of the new Anderson era at Hudds we will just have to wait and see.

Will the Hull Daily Mail run this before or after today's piece with Rangi Chase in a black and white shirt? Which itself was 2 days after Chase signed a 3 year extension to his 4 year deal at Cas, wasn't it?

We could essentially do the same with Chase. If we're sure his visa will come we should sign and register him, then just play the waiting game. That could be expensive though.
