Russell took loads of good bombs against Warrington while Mcgoldrick against Catalans he made a shocking error from a bomb and was no where to be seen for one of Greenshileds trys.
Both are dodgy from kicks but Russell offers more in attack, obviously if he injured then unfortunatley we have no choice, unless Chase signs before then
Granted I havent seen either of the games you mention. That Russell had ONE decent game under the high ball, IMO, doesnt atone for the multiple errors in previous games. That McGoldrick missed ONE bomb is hardly damning. I'd like to know where the rest of the team were for the other 7 Cats tries.
One offs I can live with. Having seen Russell play 3 or 4 times, yes, he is great with ball in hand. Getting him to catch it was the main issue.

Have to say I'm with MMJ on this one. Russell under the high ball has been a frightening and his reluctance to take the ball on the full is a worry preferring to let it bounce. I thought Tansey was bad enough at it but Russell for all his talent is awful under a hign ball. Russell does have an attacking threat although he can often take the wrong options and has done.
Think this is probably why Wane was happy to loan him to us.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

I'm expecting either one of this scenarios;
An error filled game, with it being tight, and who knows who will win it?
OR
Dobson kicking us to death, based on a strong foundation laid by a much stronger pack. We are just too weak in the forwards for me, if o'Meley is back then it may be a different ball game, but if he ain't i worry.
Rovers to win it i'm afraid, rugby we've played lately has been shambles.
LET'S FACE IT, WE WILL LOSE THIS GAME BUT ASK YOURSLEFS THIS, DOES IT REALLY MATTER? WE WILL DO NOTHING THISMYEAR UNLESS RANGIS VISA IS SORTED SOONER RATHER THAN LATER. NEXT YEAR WILL BE THE YEAR OF THE BLACK AND WHITES WITH WORLD CLASS SIGNING SUCH AS CHASE AND ELLIS LINKING UP WITH OTHER WORLD BEATERS SUCH AS BRISCOE, WESTERMAN, WATTS AND YEAMAN. WELL THE ANSWER IS THE GREAT MAN THAT IS ADAM PEARSON IS HERE TO LAUNCH THE BLACK AND WHITES INTO A WORLD CLASS SIDE.
