If his agent and the club were 'adamant' he wouldn't get a visa, why even bother going through the motions of a transfer deal? Just wastes everyone's time, surely. To me the fact that a deal has been done indicates that the people actually in a position to know about these things think a visa can be obtained.
Hold on to me baby, his bony hands will do you no harm It said in the cards, we lost our souls to the Nameless One

Rangi has a visa to play with Cas this was obtained before his conviction IIRC if he moves clubs then =if is visa is like the one Potter has it only allows him to play at Cas, He will have to get a new visa for Hull. I suppose time will tell if hes got a specific type of visa he maybe OK but the story broke days ago about a deal been done so why no official announcement? I'll let you work it out.
As I've said before, if it's linked to a work permit, Brent Webb's visa only allows him to play for Leeds, Keith Lulia's only allows him to play for Bradford, etc etc. If a player wants to move to another club via the work permit route, they need a new visa. Unless you can get the new visa by the premium service from UKBA, it can take weeks, so maybe there'll be no official announcement until then and maybe he's coming for next season after all. We've had our fingers burnt before.

Fwiw. He has a child, To a long term gf, Surely if he married her, He would be allowed to stay and work in the country ?
Chris28 is an employee of UKBA, he has clearly stated, the stipulations required for Chase to move to Hull FC.
The conviction in 2011, has no bearing ,IF it was, he would be not allowed back in the country in 2011 after his court case.
The only thing Chase needs to do, is to amend his change of employer to Hull FC.
Also,he could state changes in his application, eg He is now a parent of a UK citizen, (coupled with the child's mother is also a UK citizen.), no Government would deny a working visa, to a parent who has a UK born child.
Its possible, to get a same day service for a fee, but that is purely dependant , if the UKBA office has available appointments .
IMO- It will just take time - no dramas.

If it was that simple Adam Pearson wouldn't be telling you it's a problem.
I hope it goes through. I hope it goes through before Friday. I fear it won't though.
