If o meley us back we will have a much better chance. The players must really be up for it after the last derby and I hope gentle drops mcgoldrick and plays Russell.

We had what looked like a much stronger pack than Salford last week, didn't do us much good though.

Who will ever forget the golden showers cascading down from the back of that stand or having to near freeze to death on the Gordon street end on a cold winters day, you could'nt even go for a pee undercover.
At the end of the day no matter how bad it was it did'nt stop the real fans turning up in large numbers on derby day, be it Red and white or black and white, so anyone who uses the state of any ground as an excuse for not turning up is a very poor speciman of a supporter imo,(commonly known as part timers i believe).

I once knew a girl who lived on Gordon Street. :ROCKS:

meatpaste wrote:It amazes me every year when the Craven Park match comes around that the new generation of FC fans whinge about going to watch their team at the ground, which I agree needs altering at the South end but is still a better ground than the Boulevard ever was.

Can't agree with this, don't forget this is from an away fans, of any colour, point of view. If you want/wanted to watch the game from the ends of NCP and the Boulevard, which nearly all away fans do/did, the Boulevard was vastly superior. The terracing at the Gordon St and Airlie St ends of Boulevard was fairly steep, giving all who stood there a great view of the full length of the pitch.

The vast majority of complaints centre around the South "stand" at NCP. Wherever you stand at that end, you're not much higher than the level of the pitch yet are a good distance away. How are you supposed to see the play when it's at the far end?

I bet most Hull fans saw more on that infamously foggy night at Knowsely Road than they'll ever see from the "Belgium" end at NCP.

Hull KR Chairman Neil Hudgell, August 26th, 2014 said..

"In fact, the days of us signing any players from across the river are over. Our fans are loyal, passionate and only interested in one club. Taking players from our nearest rivals doesn't fit in with that brief."

Dobson would absolutely terrorise Russell with high kicks if he were to be at Full Back.

Like him or not, McGoldrick is actually quite solid under bombs.

That being said, I do wonder how Russell would perform as an interchange No.9. I think he speed and step around the ruck would be very effective.

According to Twitter, Russell has gone back to Wigan and has a wrist injury. Which explains why we've been playing McGoldrick ahead of him and ties in with a rumour I heard a few weeks ago.

Hold on to me baby, his bony hands will do you no harm

You obvioulsy haven't seen either the Catalan or Warrington games.

Russell took loads of good bombs against Warrington while Mcgoldrick against Catalans he made a shocking error from a bomb and was no where to be seen for one of Greenshileds trys.

Both are dodgy from kicks but Russell offers more in attack, obviously if he injured then unfortunatley we have no choice, unless Chase signs before then
