Correct. Although he won't play next week. Either Salford or Wigan

if we don`t get it sorted before Friday it will have to be for next season as the deadline closes at some point, if we do get him signed by then i can`t see him not playing against Rovers

The transfer deadline is Friday I believe. If they are confident of the visa maybe they can sign him but not play him until its received? Otherwise it's next season.

I'm no expert but I can't see his visa being refused, how can they stop a guy from earning his living.. Especially that he has a kid born in this country. I rekon it's just a lil hurdle that will be overcome pretty soon.

You could give him a contract 'subject to', but if he doesn't have a visa, he can't be registered. If he isn't registered by friday, he can't be registered this season. Unless you're very worried about being gazumped, it makes no sense to be paying without being able to play him. Also, if the visa weren't granted and you 'release' him that would mean writing off the fee, or at least or portion of it - I can't see Cas being keen to face the risk of having to hand back the money.
My guess is that the deal was agreed before the 'Hull FC lead the Chase' article, so the process will have been under way for a while
