Bit of an exaggeration, I wouldn't put Longy in the top 10 all time British scrum halfs, but I know what you mean. Andy Gregory was a heavy drinker, pretty sure Alex Murphy liked a drink too. That said, the game was nowhere near as athletic as it is today, and if the the likes of Jess Ennis, Mo Farrah and Bradley Wiggins can lay off the booze to optimise their performance, I see no reason why our athletes shouldn't at the very least drink responsibly.

The HDM are stoking this rumour up.Either the Club have released some info or they read this board. Anyway Rangi to make his debut against Rovers then?

Just another example of the Hull Daily Fail printing a story based on what they've read here. The fact there are no quotes in the article just make it sound like speculation.

If it was Broughy we were after it would been "Rememeber what he was like last time we might as well have gone after Chase". If it was Holdsworth it would have been, "He's not as good as Chase we havn't been ambitious enough" and so it goes.
Not exactly true, plenty of fans on this board have claimed they would take Holdsworth over Chase.

well said wilf, top post, your right we always get the usual supjects who come on here with there negative drivel, putting a negative twist to whatever fc do, id love him here just what we need,
once a black and white always a black and white COYH
If you take the average season pass price as being say £150 (taking in to account the junior and concession prices and the different stand prices) a £350,000 transfer fee is 2333 pass sales, the club would easily make that back on a 3-4 year deal for Chase.

Hey dont be bringing Tickle into this! His future is already resolved (I hope!) .
Sometimes in these swap deals you have to sacrifice a player you would like to have kept, for the "greater good". Otherwise its a case of having to tip up a bigger fee!
