With Gareth Ellis and Joe Arundel two of the six new faces confirmed for next season
I apologise then, but I read this and naturally thought he meant that we had 4 other already signed, along with Ellis and Arundel and that they were looking for more
Crookes hasn't been confirmed but is well known like Joe Arundel was

think there was a radio interview that cod'ead mentioned that maybe does clear it up, not heard it myself
if there are another 6, or is it 8, signings then Gentle really is clearing house and making his OWN team which is good, guess will have to wait till September to find out.

The way I understood it is we've got Arundel and Ellis signed, we've also signed another 6 players that can't be announced and were after a half and a prop who will be big name.
I'm quite happy AP said that about the next 2 signings, now we've missed out on Paea he has to get a name as big and that might need a fee. He doesn't come across as someone who isn't true to his word.

AP also said (IIRC) about the unnamed signings that they are mostly British and are future internationals. He is setting expectations high by that comment. I like Crookes and with good service I could see how he might be considered for an international call up, Arundel is already a Knight. Can't think who else we have been linked with who would fit that description.

It was a big comment.
Looking at our squad I wouldn't be to surprised for 2 of the 6 to be big surprises, there's been a couple of names thrown on here that didn't get much response.
18. 2 of the 6 fb cover 19. Lineham 20. 3 of the 6 3/4 cover 21. Crooks 22. 4 of the 6 hb cover 23. 5 of the 6 hb cover 24. Bowden 25. Cunningham 26. 6 of the 6 prop cover 26. Kent 27. Green 28. Pitts
That's a big enough squad and would go with our ins/outs.

4 of the 6 are I reckon McDonnell or Kearney Crookes Wildie Nrl prop Plus arundal and Ellis but not sure if there part of the 6 but I think they may be after the signings this season Pitts watts etc . A English based prop and a half back and i reckon that's us . If we could get Bateman / whitehead then I can see us selling tickle .
