The Daily Star (I know, I know) is reporting that Wigan are going to get Smith within days. Are we really so hard up that we need to agree to this and disrupt our slim chance of a top 8 finish?

We must be getting something out of this if we're letting him go early, wouldn't mind a sniff at the young full back on a years loan or maybe any of the others good youngsters who are struggling to get into the first team because of the form the rest of the team are in.

For starters you've more chance of seeing the Pope's ass than us getting a top 8. What will we get out of it? We'll save his wage for the remainder of the season and allow young Sneyd to get some serious game time and work on his partnership with DJ.
Plus Why loan out a young fb when we've signed Tower's? Surely he should be given game time if he needs it instead of some wigan kid.

Keep getting told by those who have seen him play plenty that Towers is nothing but pace and would get found out very quickly at full back. Like him or loathe him as a full back Patten this term has been one of our most potent attacking players and we'll miss him next year.

Not if we've agreed to release him early.

Good john wilky last looked out
on the pitch at salford.
when the snow lay round about
deep and crisp and even
brightly played the lads that night
though the frost was cruelllll
when poor swinton scored a try
we had 94urrrrrrrrrr
