Just moved over to GiffGaff at the weekend, Took about 24 hours for my number to port but got there in the end. Was previously on 02 and GG use 02's network so no problem as far as signal is concerned. and should save a lot of money. now my contracts finished decided to keep my iphone 3gs ( i was very tempted by the Galaxy s3) and gone from shelling out 35 quid a month on a contract to £10 for unlimited texts, 250 mins and "unlimited" data, so far so good although there is a big stink kicking off on their forums about the data. They don't allow tethering, but anyone who has a high usage for whatever reason even if they aren't tethering are getting their data cut off indefinitely without warning. There's no FUP and the only T & C's state that tethering will get you banned, and they will cut you off if they feel your usage is affecting other users.. that second one is a tricky one and ASA have ruled that it's not a valid reason to ban people but nothing has changed yet. Hmmm.

Famous last words eh! glad I jumped ship from O2 to Three. their coverage blows O2 out of the water. Although for the last two days two tins and a long piece of string would have provided more reliable coverage

Ooops!..
I was looking at going with Three first before going to GiffGaff but the 2g signal where I live is meant to be rubbish, A friend has Three and can barely get a signal in my house so that was the deciding factor, otherwise I'd be with them, I've still got some simcards so might just try it for myself anyway and see what it's like after yesterdays problems.
can get an iPhone 4s for around 35 a month, a S3 for similar, or a htc one x for 26, gonna have a shop around so will hopefully find some decent deals.
recommendations? more likely to go for the htc due to saving a tenner a month unless someone says avoid like the plague. just after a decent/upper range smart phone, had this samsung monte for a few years now and time to join the cool kids i think as long as i can have games, music and internet i'm happy, not bothered about using it as a personal organiser or emails etc.
I went in to Phones 4 U to take out a new contract. Orange Panther 31, Galaxy SIII free, 400mins, Unltd texts, 750mb of data and Orange Swapables. Orange wouldn't budge when I asked for the SIII, minimum of £36 a month and £30 for the phone. P4U adviser got me an upgrade, the phone for free, 600mins, untd texts, 1gb of data and the swapables for £28.50!
