I had a brief chat with the registra who was rather taken aback with my 'ull accent until I explained my situation, then I had to pledge allegiance to the Queen, sing the National Anthem and reluctantly have my photo taken beside the Union Jack, holding my Citizenship certificate. All this because they changed the rules on Indefinate Leave to Remain
That thing about singing the anthem and having the photo taken - thats not official you know, it was probably a bet in the registrars office, the next person probably had to sing the national anthem stood on one leg.

Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.;

8/15 some of them guesses. Instead of soccer questions how about who was the first black man to captain a British international team? Who was the first Briton to lift a Rugby world cup? Which major British city has a main road named after a Rugby League player?
