Finished MP3 today. Superb story. There was enough small variation in the level design plus set pieces to prevent it from being boring. Can other people finish it please, because I have a lot of questions re: the story.
Temptation, greets you like your naughty mate,
The one that used to get you in bother,
But one that you could never bring yourself to hate.

Captain Charisma wrote:As another xbox or Playstation havent been announced yet it would have to be for this generation... Not sure they could announce a game being for a console that hasnt been confirmed. Also after having a look around online, there are several people suggesting its being made with the same engine that powers Assassins Creed 3, Anvil. Therefore very much this generation
Well it's well known that developers have had access to the next PS (codename Orbit) for quite some time now, so there's every chance it could be a title for the next gen consoles. I agree that the amount of processing power needed to run that game is too high for current gen consoles.

It's been confirmed it was demoed on a monster PC but that's it is coming out on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. I knew PC games were ahead graphically, but there is no way they will get the PS3/Xbox 360 versions looking anything like that. The rain is spectacular, as is the wind. The rain in the wind is even better. It's not just how it's looked either, it's the movement of the NPCs and how they react to the environment. I imagine they will just scale it right back, maybe changing the viewing angle to reduce the field of vision/draw distance or something.
Xbox impressed me at the conference with the direction they are taking. The 'assault on the big tele' that was muted when this generation came out is now slowly taking shape and shows how in the future games consoles could be your entertainment, you wouldn't really need anything else. The Smartglass idea is really cool, as is the integration of the Music and movies between devices. One thing that confused me was whether these things, Music and Movies and smartglass would be on iphone/android as well as Windows Phone? They definitely mentioned Smartglass on other devices, but I'm not sure whether that's just the ability to use your phone screen to control the internet browser, or whether it extends to everything? If not, it's one more reason for trying Windows Phone, as I hate Apple and am pretty bored of Android to be honest.
What are people's thoughts of the Nintendo show? It seemed very stereotypically Nintendo, bright primary colours, clouds, pipes, plumbers and the same utterly boring franchises they have had for 20 years. The Wii U's pad didn't look very good either and is rumoured to have a 3 hour battery life, which if true makes it pretty stupid. Mind, it's probably plenty of time as most people don't use a Wii for more than an hour every six months. (Flame away Nintendo fans, I'd be interested to hear what you thought of it)

Spoiler...........
xxLooks like the youngest Branco Brother had it coming to him with the old tyre fire. Not a nice way to go though!xx
To be honest I knew there was something dodgy about those 2 (I tend to have a hard time trusting rich people in real life and games are no different . I kept repeating "She kidknapped herself" from the Big Lebowski, and at other times I thought it was similar to 'Man on Fire' I didn't see the bit in the hotel coming (organs).
It really annoys me that the story in all 3 games is so good but the films are 5hite.

Watch Dogs won't be out this generation. Expect the new machines to be here late next year. Valve (developers of Half Life) are rumoured to be bringing out their own console in time for the next generation its called 'The Steam box'. Its a rubbish name but all what I hear has been go so far.
Gears of war 4 has been confirmed asweel, to be made by the Polish dudes who made Bulletstorm (very underrated game)

The Wii U could be amazing, but it won't be because of the games. Nintendo will promote the greatness of it by using things like Wii Sports and Just Dance, but what makes a console is the quality of the games -- not the amount of frothy-mouthed kids that get them for Christmas. The 'Pad' could be used to really enhance the 'first person' element of so many games, not specifically shooting games, more action/adventure/puzzle games. It could add new levels of detail and skill to solving things, but it will instead be used as a strobe light for little kids as they go nuts for their party games.
