Seeing as we have a new spread defence and only one new coach, you have to assume CS has heralded this.
I believe he did say @ some fans forum, he had watched dvds and it was obvious the first thing he needed to address was the defence. In a way he has, the problem is the new system is only as good as the players and their ability to tackle.

One area I'd like to see us improve on (or do more of). Try and control the wrestle/ruck more and slow down the play of the ball. Getting 3 or more in the tackle may help to do this. It might even result in less 'obvious' penalties given against us for laying on.

Other areas, more aggression (from the off). Both in attack and defence.
Be smarterererer. Stupid ball strips/late hit - when we were on the back foot, only compounded our problem(s) on Friday.

The team have adapted to it. The problem is we have too many weak links in our line for it to work against a decent team.
On Friday tho' - it very much reminded me of last season. We got sucked in down the middle and Wigan just got it wide and that was it.

I think your title is bang on. Our defence is frep, no matter what style or system we play. I don't think that's gonna' change for a while.

Well that was the other option, we could ask referee's to obstruct in the defensive line.

We could defend as a team and not individually. I ain't happy that the players haven't improved since round 1. Gradual improvment id be happy with. But we seem to be heading backwards.
