In fact it isn't clever in itself anyway because her inference whether tactical or just stupid is a side issue that highlights her ineptitude.

If she actually thought a bit of deliberate controversy would take the heat away from the results then she is patronising as well as thick.

I like the post talking about how "Labour are much better at choosing their Asians". Just can't make it up.

She seems to be yet more proof of Cameron's clear inability to pick people. Other than the fact that she is Muslim Asian and female, I cannot understand why he chose her to be elevated to the HoL, let alone making her Joint Chair of the party and giving her a cabinet seat as Minister without Portfolio.

Unfortunately I can't see her lasting too much longer in her positions because as I said on the conservativehome site: She's the best cheerleader the left have ever had.

The only thing Cameron has ever managed to pick correctly in his life is which womb to fall out of.

In an interview on World at One she did what the Tories have been doing since the election - conflate debt and the deficit. This was pointed out on "More or Less" the Beeb's statistics progamme. They telephoned the Tories to get their reaction but got no response

Shame he wasn't aborted.

Wouldn't have had you down as a member of that forum coddy? Is it more intelligent than the sin bin?

Not really but it is much more fun having a go at them. It seems to be a fairly equal split between us lefties, tories and kippers/BNP

All parties overstate the number of seats they expect to lose in a bad year - that way it doesn't look as bad as they predicted. Warsi had been saying before Thursday that the Tories expected to lose 700 seats, on Newsnight on Thursday when it looked like they might actually lose 700 seats she upped the number to 1000!
I reckon Warsi is in her position because she ticks several boxes for Cameron, she's Asian, she's a Muslim, and she speaks with a pronounced Yorkshire accent - which is presumably to help him reconquer the Northern cities. Good plan except of course it wasn't working before May 2010, and it's still not working now.

Without knowing who this woman even was. I read that she's just another opinionated northerner.

Out of interest. How did she become a baroness?
