all im saying is, for what happend to wheeldon, this isnt the last of the players who sandercock wants to see depart..... first was talipapa, then wheeldon, whats happend to griffin?? unfortunatly to move on, rovers have to many average players on too much money...... get rid of say 4 of these, and a top player can come your way.....unearth good youngsters in taylor, watss etc etc, and you'll have a good mix....exactly what wigan have done....... top imports and the rest are young kids from the academy..its the way forward

I don't think it is a big secret that a clear-out is on the cards - there are still 14 or so first teamer's OoC at the end of this season. To add spice to the speculation, an ex-Rovers player has told me at least 4 players have been given permission to talk to other clubs - Wheeldon was one of them. He also named Netherton, Murrell, and Clinton. He also said Hall, Webster, Watts, Cox and Lovegrove have been told to step it up if they want a renewal. I asked him about McDonnell and he said a 2 yr deal has been offered.
I was told this at the Bradford game and TBH this 'source' has been more than suspect in the past with his 'inside info', I usually take it with a pinch of salt, but he hit the nail on the head with Wheeldon!
If he reads this then I guess he will dry-up, however he did make me sit up when he said Sandercock has a transfer market budget to play with, and wants to bring 2 current SL players to the club this season, if he can. This links in to what I was told a few weeks before Easter (and I commented on here) that 2 new signings were imminent - the names quoted were Kopzac and Tom Burgess (at the height of the Bulls pending doom).
The final snippet is Sandercock will have '2' quota spots to fill and has a winger and a 2nd rower (Lopini?) lined-up. My source wouldn't say any more but if he is right it suggests (to me) Ben Galea will retire at the end of this season. Again, I will add caution because this source has been more than laughable at times; he told me it was nailed on we were getting Noble as our new coach, apparently he saw him coming out of Hudgell's office opposite East Park just after it had been announced Justin was leaving.

I'd like to think Mcdonnell has been told to 'step it up', unconvincing since his arrival.

clinton and wester to leave this season with a centre from newcastle knights coming this way! This season if possible! Webster not happy at how hard they now have to work in training and been told to leave. think theres been enough about clinton on these pages as to why he's gonna be shipped out.

Didn't Josh Charnley comment on how 'easy' our training was. If it was true under Morgan and Sandy has stepped it up, then great. If Jake finds it too tough then he should look elsewhere.

make of my post what you like philb. from a decent enough source who has been right numerous times over the last few years. no reason to think it isn't what sandercock wants. maybe shipping em out might not be easy but its what he's after. and charnley did mention the easy training so that does back it up a little bit too
