Great to see Roger in robins nest today, great effort considering he is a bit crook of late. Singed for us for todays equivelent of £160,000 at 16!! Funny to hear how he got £5 for a loss, and had to pay tax on that!!
Think we should build a statue of him at the reception of the new stand. Took the Aussies to pieces with 3 tries in his pomp, played 70 mis with a broken jaw, what a true Legend!
Didnt ever see him in the flesh, but my dad has told me about nearly every game he played in, so I feel as though I have!

Totally agree about the statue, dragged our club into the modern era and turned into arguably the best side in the World at the time.

If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

that was not all down to roger i can tell you about an incident at a home game when i heard roger asking for more money to bring in certain players and was told no chance get on with it if we go down we will come strait back up we all know how long that took don't we so in my mind it was not rogers fault the players we had at the time got old together

Why do you dislike statues?

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

Bit inanimate aren't they.

I dont dislike statues in general, in some cases they make sense-War statues are great for rememberance. I just dont think its needed or warrented at HKR.

We already have them - have you not noticed Welham's tackling technique?

Heres an idea that someone may want to pass on to the club (im to lazy and cant be bothered)
Instead of a statue - which certainly arnt in the plans with the new build, each tower as got a big poster design on it; maybe one on these could be a big one of the dodger in his heydays and just red tint the black and white rustic pic. Would tie in nicely then and would look very good.
