There will never be a merger, all this talk is rubbish! Only fc allow that to happen! If I win the lottery il buy hullkr so what are you all worried about?

In all seriousness, would 1 Hull team be successful? I don't think so.

Even if such a scenario happened I wouldn't be one of its followers.

If Rovers and FC merged it would be the death of RL as we know it in this city.

I don't think it would end RL, Hull United, initially, would probably be poorly supported, they wouldn't be able to spend twice the cap, obviously. I don't think under the current salary cap there is a team between us that will compete, I think either team have more chance making a competing team as a lone entity, the only benefactor of a merger would be the owner once crowds picked up and merchandise sold like hot cakes.

Other clubs will benefit from a 20k away following.

I'd support Catalans.

You'd begin to feature on Sky, provided people of a normal height aren't obstructing you.

I'd persuade you to come and then sit on your shoulders waving a big Catalan flag.

Rubbish imo, two teams in the city with all the rivalry etc is better for the game in general than just one which would not be guaranteed succcess as some people seem to think.
If there were one merged team in Hull it would still be bound by the same salary cap resrictions as are currently in place so it wouldn't make much difference to the quality that already exists within the two squads imo, the only advantage to possibly arise in the long term would be the youth set up, as there would only be one team competing for the best talent in the city.

Agreed. I reckon East Hull crowds would triple in size within 2weeks and it would just start over.
