He has signed for less than his younger brother, who is the current lowest paid guy at the club.

Well that's the official line anyway. I'm sure he will have a well paid job as water boy for the under 20s after he is finished playing.

I can't get to the reserve grade game this weekend, but there is a fair chance 6'5" 115kg Willie and 6'4" 108kg Rodney Mason will make a fair second row combination. The two brothers are something like 12 years apart in age so they probably never thought they would play together.

Willie is a local - I can actually look out my window across Lake Macquarie and see where Willie was brought up (beat that for stalking)

Roops, how far is Wauchope from you?
so the panel took the same view as your excellent assessment.
Wauchope (pronounced war-hope for some odd reason) is near Port Macquarie about 200k north of Newcastle.
I'm near Lake Macquarie about 60k south of Newcastle.

It's been raining cats and dogs here for 2 days.

Well there is a kind of karma about all this. Mason turned up in East Hull and (in my opinion) ultimately lead to a change in coach. You send us Sandercock and we give you Mason in return.
I hope he can be arsed for you, as he certainly wasn't for us (apart from 1 set of six against Wigan when he scored - I think it was his birthday).

He'll play reserve grade and earn no money unless he puts in - that either motivates him or it doesn't - either way is OK.
